Acting Head of the School Law Unit
Are you an experienced leader with solid knowledge in school law? We are looking for an acting head for the School Law Unit in our Legal Department.

About the Job
As the head of the School Law Unit, you will be responsible for supporting the agency in providing assistance to other parts of the agency in school law matters, primarily through quality assurance of the agency's products from a school law perspective. The unit is also responsible for the development of regulations. The unit consists of lawyers and editors, totaling fifteen employees.
You will be responsible for the unit's budget, results, operational planning, and the unit's competency supply in the short and long term. Together with your colleagues, you will develop the operations to ensure that the unit's mission is carried out in the most effective and appropriate way, and you will regularly follow up on results. Your duties also include representing the Swedish National Agency for Education externally and in the media for your area.
You will be part of the management team in the Legal Department, where you, together with the Chief Legal Officer and the other four unit heads, contribute to the development of the entire department and the agency.

You will work in our modern and spacious office in Solna Business Park. You may also have the opportunity to work up to 50% remotely.

In this job, you should have:
- Master of Laws or equivalent legal degree
- Several years of relevant experience in a leadership role
- Current, extensive, and solid experience and knowledge in school law
- Current, extensive, and solid experience in working with regulations and general advice, as well as experience in coordinating and project managing these
- Experience in handling both operational and strategic issues
- Several years of experience working in a government agency
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
It is an advantage if you have experience leading school lawyers. It is also advantageous to have experience with broad legal work in a government agency.

Important to Know
The application deadline is December 29. The employment is a temporary position for about 8 months, but no longer than until the regular unit head is in place.
